Preciosa’s Signature Designs Offer Designers Untapped Creative Freedom

Every design professional relates to the dilemma: a fully custom light installation can transform a space, but is typically associated with a higher cost, longer lead time and fabrication risks. An inline fixture is faster and safer but rarely carries the same cachet. Preciosa’s portfolio of Signature Designs was created to offer the design impact of a custom light fixture within a framework of proven solutions.

The extensive portfolio includes award winning designs such as Drifting Lights, Crystal Links, Raw Crystal, and Crystal Grid. Each concept is rooted in a distinct design principle—from the playful, light-diffusing Drifting Lights to the architectural lattice of Crystal Grid. But the real value lies in how far these designs can be pushed: magnified to soaring heights or scaled down for an intimate setting. Rather than selecting a fixture, designers are shaping an experience to perfectly complement a space.

“Each Signature Design features a rich palette of possibilities: the composition and scale of the light fixture, the color, shape and cut of the crystal, the finish of the metal and the effect of the lighting” says Michael Holy, Managing Director, Preciosa Lighting North America.

“Each Signature Design becomes an expression of a designer’s vision, shaped through crystal and light to enrich the way people move, gather and feel” Holy says. “They offer a distinct way of framing the spatial experience: Drifting Lights introduces movement and fluidity, Crystal Links encourages connection and social interaction, Raw Crystal creates moments of contemplation, and Crystal Grid brings rhythm and structure to the architecture.”

Preciosa’s Signature Designs feature a fully integrated approach: design, engineering, prototyping, manufacturing, and installation, handled entirely in-house and rooted in the centuries-old traditions of Czechia’s Crystal Valley. This seamless process allows designers to maximize efficiency during every project phase delivering work rooted in quality materials and authentic craftsmanship.
